Thanks so much to u all for the welcoming to your group. At 68 yrs and car crazy since i was 10 yrs old, I've always chased the dream and worked hard for many years to love and enjoy some beautiful rides. I was a truck driver for most of my life and my lady worked in a warehouse. 25 yrs ago we re-mortgaged our home to do a rotisserie resto on a fully optioned 59 Ford Skyliner retractable. My dream car always was a red/black vinyl 68-70 Hemi Charger. That was never attainable w/my wages but its nice to dream right. I've had several sbc's over the years - Impalas, trucks and a couple Z-28's. My love for 50's Fords has kept me dedicated to them over the last 30 yrs. I was the President of the Fabulous 50's Ford Club of Manitoba for a few terms. While I still have my 57 Fairlane and a 56 F100 my dream of having a HEMI car has come true. I lost my lady to cancer two years ago - she was my reason for living and was beside me through all of the restorations through the years. I was a very fortunate man. I feel her presence now and I know she would support me as I try to console my broken heart with vehicles. My local Mopar friends seem happy for me and indeed my Ford guys also. Lets be real - theyre all great cars and the people are beautiful.

Welcome to the Moper Hemi side! You jumped in with both feet! Some Ford guys are slow learners. Ford never made a single SB or BB and stuck with them so parts interchange. Can't count how many different V8s they have.

Hello Linden, sorry for your loss but thanks for joining. You and your mighty Coronet are a welcome addition here!
Nice poster!!

Yes, Ford would not exist if it were not for the Dodge Brothers helping that crackpot out. There is a bond between us.

Welcome.

Welcome to FBBO, sorry to hear about your wife's passing.. Sounds like you & she had some great cars... And your carrying on the tradition with another great car.... I'm sure she's smiling knowing that your gonna be okay &.she has a seat beside you..

Welcome aboard Sir, from the middle of the mitten. So glad that you have seen the light!!

Welcome from the Poconos of Pa!!
Sorry for your loss of the Mrs.
Don't tell anyone but my 1st car was a 69 Mach 1.
Shhhh........

May the good Lord bless you both and bring comfort to your heart. Welcome aboard.

Welcome. As the owner of a 57 Retractable, my Uncle bought new and I restored to Showcase status, and also owning a 69 Road Runner I would bet you will choose driving that Mopar over the Ford everytime. The Retractable is nice, but the Road Runner is FUN. I can't imagine the fun you can have with a Hemi.

I spent 7 years bringing this ol Beauty Queen back to her original grace. Forced to sell her during a struggle. She is now in the Alps of Switzerland. Every option available. Won many awards. I still cry for her but was blessed to have a car of this status on a truck driver's wages.

I'll confess there are some Fords that I like as I get older...

Welcome from Alabama, you jumped in at the top of the food chain with a Hemi car. Join the fun.

Welcome aboard from NJ. Sorry for your loss but a Hemi is a blessing in itself. Best of luck with it!
