Article on Bengal Charger said 4 are known and a guy is on the forums who claims to have another one, but he won’t show any pics. Who is this mystery man? I think they are interesting cars and the 72s were confirmed as real too in the new issue.

Do they say anything about the "Big Red Machines"?

Freind of mine back In Cincy used to own the one with real low miles - unrestored. He sold it LONG ago.( he is a member here ) There was another one popped up on the Autotrader years ago but the car was RUSTY

There's one up here

Here's one that was displayed in the T Bldg, across the aisle from me, at Carlisle this year. It was a Beauty !!!

I believe it was the same dealership that had them built to honor the Reds, which were referred to as "The Big Red Machine" at the time.

I think these started in '72.
I don't remember them being six cylinders.

I haven’t heard of those and sure haven’t seen one.

The Bengal article said the dealer ordered a few slanty cars to get the advertised price very low to lure people in to up sell them.

I grew up in Northern Kentucky and remember seeing at least one around town. This was years ago. I had a 68 that was a mirror image of one that I bought when I was 16.

Where abouts in KY

I was born and raised in the Florence / Burlington area

Ive only ever seen 2 of said 68 Bengal chargers in person.
But I was only 9 yo in 1968 and not really into cars yet

Florence. I saw the one in the wild in Covington. I saw another at the Mopar Nats.

I actually use to own the 318 bengal that was found. It bought back in early 90s from the original owners niece. It had 3400 miles on it. I lived in Hamilton Ohio then but was from northern KY and took it around the whole area. I sold it to a collector thru a broker It disappeared since.

It was featured in Mopar collector guide Back in 95 or so Did the photo shoot at one of the Indy Mopar nats So the year range is limited

RK Motors in Charlotte, North Carolina had one.
