Seeking Auto Body and Paint Tips for my 68 Charger

This answer is a bit off from your request. But back when I was on a racing team, when we'd paint a car, we'd head to whatever big box store was nearby and buy 12 rattlecans in the same color (don't buy the cheapest brand). Used 9-10 of them painting the car, keep the rest for spares for the fender benders. Take your time, and it will come out surprisingly well. With 6 guys it takes a couple of hours, so if you're working alone be sure to pace yourself. Give it several coats to make sure it comes out even. If you want to make it pop, give it a clearcoat afterwards, possibly wetsand that later. If you want a second color or some trim, get that done in vinyl.

The biggest steps by far all revolve around keeping it clean. Get the surface prepped, make sure it's smooth enough, wipe it down before you start. If you're painting inside, get the shop vac out & get all the dust, both above & below (and think about ventilation before you start!). If you're painting outside, start with the leafblower, then the shop vac, and get an easy-up (pop up tent).
