I have asked the same question and someone directed me to your post. I was trying to find out how many 1968 Black Hemi Chargers were produced. Without vinyl top/stripe delete in my case. Do you still think there were only 7 in black made total?I have asked the question in forums. I was told five. I asked Galin at a car show he said that he knows six. I have been doing research and found seven. I have vin tags for six. Only one I cannot find is the burnt Hemi 3x black Charger. I found the owner and he said he would get me pics but he has not. Crazy part no two are the same.

Not true,the Blue Charger R/T was destroyed,the Yellow close up/camera Charger R/T survived and was found in Arizona and restored. Both cars were repainted black for the film.Kinda…. Just maybe you would like to know for your reseach. If I contacted you before, I forgot I did. I have a 1968 Hemi RT Charger in 3x Black. 2Dr. Spts. H.T. (no vinyl top) Stripe delete. Option Equipment and Accessories: Light Package, Sure-grip, Radio music master, Rear seat speaker, PB and PS, Console auto, Hood turn signal, Tinted windshield, Head restrains on both sides, Remote mirror (driver only), Locking gas cap, seat belt delux, Tach w/ clock, and undercoating. XS29J8B------. Sold new in Struthers, Ohio - 10/17/1967. This car did some tours at Nascar events and the stickers are still in the rear door window. Reg with Galin #115. I still have original rims and caps with the spare. The rims you see on the car were purchased new back around 1970 for the Nascar look. The first owner was a big Nascar fan and a Vet.
