I am running a Holley intake and am trying to adapt my stock 5.7 TB to it. Initially I used a Holley LS TB to 4150 adapter and just drilled some holes to mount the TB but now I want try and get the TB lower (the Holley adapter is thick on the back to facilitate some vacuum ports which I don't need).

Before I went through the effort of trying to make an adapter I thought I would ask around. OCP Performance used to make them but it seems that they have folded.

Well I guess I got my answer.. LOL Almost the same answer as the LS TB on a G3 Hemi... :(

there's a guy on FB that has his own intake and adapters for sale . his work and life schedule got really busy and he's going to stop making them . his name is Joe O'Cone lll . he may still have a few left .

Unfortunately I am not on FB, however I will look into it. I am in the process of making my own adapter at the moment and should have it done today. They are not complicated but the motor for the throttle blade does hang down and present some issues. I am trying to get the TB as low as possible which is what brought me here.

This is his EFI with OE throttle body with both adapters

That looks good and basically exactly what I am making (as far as the 4150 adapter). I can see it says OCP Performance, I emailed them a number of times and tried to call as well without success. I think he has already closed up shop.
he may have closed the "shop" part down but i talk to him occasionally through messanger

he said they were $275 + shipping
Thank you for doing that but I think they were like $100 on his website before that went down. Its definitely more that I want to pay given the relatively simple nature of the product. I just finished making one myself.

I really like the sheet metal elbow style for using modern tb on carb intake. That's how my fury is. Better flow into the intake and better hood fitment. Mine is turbocharged so a regular drop base air cleaner doesn't work of course

In my case I am using a factory oval AC and trying to get the air grabber to be functional. So this required me to get the TB mounted straight up like a carb would be. I did this by getting a Holley intake, however they do not offer an adapter to mount the TB to a 4150 style intake.

What Holley does offer is an adapter for a LS TB to be mounted to a 4150 intake so I got one of those and then drilled it for the G3 Hemi TB. The problem here is the thickness which is right at 1". With the AC mounted it was hitting the AG door.

OCP Performance did/does offer these adapters for a G3 Hemi but as noted they are a bit expensive for what you get (its a pretty simple plate), plus I think that they are probably about the same thickness as the Holley plate.

I elected to make my own out of a piece of 1/2" thick 6061 aluminum. I actually tried 3/3 first but it was just too thin. The problem is the motor on the TB, it hangs down on the one side and covers up one of the 4150 adapter mounting bolts.

What I will be doing is using a tapered hex head 5/16 bolt to allow me to counter sink the plate which allows me to retain the surface contact area of the bolt. I am pretty confident that this will seal up ok.

I too been wanting one also for a long time and I did contacted him and he gone offline for health reasons and didn't give any time expectation of getting back into it. If you dont mind me asking, what would you charge if I happen to be interested in buying one? I am trying to give the old school look with the exact same setup as you. I have the Holley EFI intake already. Wow, it's great to find someone in the same predicament as I am. Lol!

Thanks for reaching out, I think that guy is closed permanently which is unfortunate.

I don't know what I would charge to make another adapter however I would highly suggest you look around locally for a small machine shop and see if they will do one. Its not that hard but us a little fiddly due to how the TB has to sit. I made a variety before I finally got what I wanted again mainly because the TB over hangs the plate on the left rear side.

I think I ended up using some 1/4 or 3/8 plate to get what I needed. The back left mounting point needs to be flush with the plate so that the TB will clear it. I even ground a little off the TB as well.

What I am saying is that it would be much better for you to give the intake and TB to a local guy and have him mess with it until you get the product you want than have me try and do one (which would require me to remove my TB) and send it across the country.

I have and used a Bridgeport mill however you could make a plate using hand tools (drill, grinder, etc.) for sure. It isn't rocket science but does take some work.

I was going to get an LS DBW Plate and just reposition it and drill new hole and tap threads to accommodate the Dodge DBW Throttle body. I even was looking into using an LS DBW, but I wasn't sure if the LS will plug into the Challenger plug or if there is an adapter out there for that type of mod? I was curious if you may have looked at that route?

Pretty much exactly the same path that I took, here is what I found out;

1. As far as making an LS TB work with a G3 Hemi harness, I am sure it can be done but as far as I know there isn't an adapter. That said I have see videos where they talk about using an LS TB on one so I am very sure its possible especially if you are using a Holley ECU and can configure it.

2. In reference to the LS TB adapter, this was the first route I went and it can work but the bolts for the Hemi TB end up very close to the O ring. The main problem at least for me was/is that the adapter sat too high and the air grabber door was hitting my air cleaner (not by much).

If I remember right the Hemi TB was offset slightly on the adapter due to the part that hangs down. If I were to do it again I would try and grind off some of the plate to allow the TB to be more centered (again, it was off just a tiny amount).

I still have mine hanging on the wall, I guess we could work something out on it if you were interested.
