Primer x2 coats, little trash in it, but its primer. Overall looks pretty good, couple small dings, should be minimal work for finishing. Paint guy was out so have to get the toners mixed up next weekend.

Yes in 1/2 hour from Fairfield.

I was able to get my toners mixed up today. 2 gallons of unreduced base, more than i will need.

If anybody has a B3 car. This is from Sherwin Williams ATX 3.5voc system. Chip number is 5-2-8400-00. Very close with it being a modern system.

Well, took the hood back off to try and fix my dumb mistake from hinges last fall when i put hinges "from another car" on on they didnt move but the hood did. I shouldve checked for free movement first, but too late now. It seems pretty close with the strap holding pressure. I think it might need a small strip welded on underneath where the access hole is. White hood pic was how bad I bent it

Here is where I was thinking a small strip to provide support. Anyone had to do this before, suggestions? Its weakened the opening from the initial bending and each time I close the hood that spot flexes.

More work with the hood. Much better, but still has a proud curve on DS. Also had to trim excess metal from the backside. The old rusted hood rear lip measured in at 5/8" the AMD was at 7/8" and it did not have the 3" long x 3/8" cutout on each side. It kept snagging the rear bump stops. Also on each side at the hood hinge the pattern did not match. roughly matched them up today will get them better once the hood is back off

Hood in primer, fitted back on car, really close to the fender curve. splash guards fitted, PS one modified for the bulkhead connector both in epoxy along with the trunk hinges and bars. Drilled out the fender signal and emblems holes. Also leveled out the quarter panel/deck filler area, close, needs a bit more work. About a week behind, so not gonna meet my goal to paint 1st of June, but its been almost 3 years. Whats another week or two to make sure its right.

Ordered some different sized fasteners from altha, got the 1.5" and 5/8" today, still waiting on the 1 3/4" and 2". So far they both work, i havent used the 5/8" on the trunk trim yet, but they fit in it, so that a good start. The 1.5" works for the front fender forward and rear also the doors and the for two clips on the forward Qtr panel trim. The 1.5" wont fit in the forward and rearward holes of the door, so Ill need to find an orginal style for that or something very similar(last picture), but glad most of them work.

Not sure whats going on with this, but the trunk hinge looks so much more silver than blue, it does have a lot more metallic lay on it, mabye to much overlap for a small piece. Used the same quart that was sprayed on the undersidse of the car. Gotta do a test spray on the new paint, might end up with a more silver car than blue/silver.

Thanks, Been a learning curve for sure.

Got the trunk trim sorted. Will have to usea small piece of 3m adhesive tape at each side. No room to drill a hole without puncture through. Also got one hood pin in
