Getting some shine on a few weeks back

I had my 3800 lb. S/S springs re-arched because they had sagged over the years. They raised my car up 2" . Measurement from ground to top of arch was 12 1/2" after re-arch. This for my 1967 R/T.
How long does re-arching last? Anyone know?

I also had the second leaf replaced with a longer one that spanned from the front eyelet to the rear one. This is where my springs were sagging, with the unsupported ends doubling back. I turn 78 in a couple of weeks, so I only need them to last another 20 years. LOL.

Here is my new to me 1967 Belvedere II convertible with 4-bbl 426 hemi crate engine. This car was totaled, rebuilt and repainted. Not bad for a wreck!

I got the air shocks working and pumped the rear up. I think a tad too high. Took this pic at the grocery store last night.

Thoughts?

Kind of looks like you’re going downhill to save gas. I think about an inch higher than the front bumper would look nice.
It’s your car, do whatever makes you content. Nice looking car!

Looks good to me. I have my '67 R/T sitting about the same way. I had my rear springs reworked to lift sagging rear end about 2". Measures from ground to rear wheel well 22"; ground to front 27".

Just measured mine:
Front: 26 3/8"
Rear: 21 1/4"

I have smaller diameter 14" stock rims and tires to fill up wheel well. So I like it a little lower in front to fill the space. And like was mentioned before the rake looks better with day-2/aftermarket rims like on your R/T.

Same slope.

15" rims and tires would add 1/2" to those measurements, so close to mine.

That's the way I like my 66/67 cars to sit-

With the wheel arch just above the rim or right at the white letters.

Lunch and a trip across the shopping center parking lot to O’Reileys with a friend in his Hemi Dart!
