I think we need to take up a collection to buy Mark a new stool, or at least a fresh roll of duct tape to fix it!
I'll chip in! lol

a little deeper than usual, BUT.........

non vinyl top car, so no roof rust to deal with

fenders, doors, and trunk lid appear to have almost zero rust issues; maybe a little clean up in the rear trunk lid seam

I'm getting the paint this week, so I can cut things in as they go back together..... I'm kinda pumped, I've left myself good everywhere.
You would like my 66 Belvedere 2dr sedan....pretty solid car too! Except for the fact it's just a Belvedere I 2dr sedan but I like them.

the blaster was dialed in, and the Quincey was keeping up.......... so we blasted till dark and there was no sand left ......... then watched the Hockey game

I'll get weldable primer where needed and epoxy on everything else I have opened up....... we won't need any more blasting until on the rotisserie, and there won't be much................ we can look back on this as "the turning point"

most of them are far more rusty than cars 20 years ago........we know rust is kind of like an ice berg, you can't see the majority of it

also....... with the availability of full sheet metal parts, instead of patch panels; we go much deeper into the car than in the past.

My GTX is a perfect example....... quarter skins/ and a few trunk patches. I did undo my doors and put skins on them about 10 years ago. also a full AMD floor...... I didn't really have to. Everyone else was getting the AMD treatment, and I was feeling left behind; but I don't see myself cutting into the back of my car.
As long as you are confident with the quality of the parts and installation, you should be good to go. It would be great to see you get your car done! The cobbler is always the guy who needs new shoes!

People don't put out their skeletons until October. You have yours out a little early this year!

10 thumbs up and she isn't getting more naked then that!

Once you're done blasting, do you put any metal prep on like Ospho? Or go right to a self etch primer?

on fresh blasted metal I blow it off real good and epoxy prime it...... but on stripped smooth metal, I treat it with ospho or similar

I dont use etching primer, epoxy does it all.....
