I have a reproduction tire changing decal for a 64 Polara and now realize I don't know what side of the trunk lid to mount it on. Not a big deal but thought someone here will know. Thanks, Marcus

I can't swear on it being the same but, here is a photo of my 65 Coronet decal.

Ya that looks familiar..... thanks for the reply...... M

It really doesn't matter. If the installer at the factory was left handed there is a good chance it will be on the left side and if he was right handed, on the right side. Both are correct. I have seen them on either side. Some are straight and some are tilted. Some are on the skin and others may be partially stuck on the reinforcement.

I've seen way more RH placements than LH on these 64's

And the ambidextrous line worker placed it dead center. :D

no spare tire hold down bracket on convertible? :moparsmiley:
It's underneath the spare tire :D
An interesting fact; all canadian polaras hdtp and convert , had the convertible trunk pans with the spare tire over to the right as shown. And they came with trunk dress up kits, body color paint, not the splatter paint.

Ok .... did not know that. That spare tire cover is cool ... never seen one

:thankyou:

The trunk compartment holds a plethora of mysteries!
