I have a reproduction tire changing decal for a 64 Polara and now realize I don't know what side of the trunk lid to mount it on. Not a big deal but thought someone here will know. Thanks, Marcus
I can't swear on it being the same but, here is a photo of my 65 Coronet decal.I have a reproduction tire changing decal for a 64 Polara and now realize I don't know what side of the trunk lid to mount it on. Not a big deal but thought someone here will know. Thanks, Marcus
A right handed guy. Thanks
I have too. 10% of the worlds population is left handed.I've seen way more RH placements than LH on these 64's
no spare tire hold down bracket on convertible?
And the ambidextrous line worker placed it dead center. It really doesn't matter. If the installer at the factory was left handed there is a good chance it will be on the left side and if he was right handed, on the right side. Both are correct. I have seen them on either side. Some are straight and some are tilted. Some are on the skin and others may be partially stuck on the reinforcement.
It's underneath the spare tireno spare tire hold down bracket on convertible?![]()
Ok .... did not know that. That spare tire cover is cool ... never seen oneIt's underneath the spare tire
An interesting fact; all canadian polaras hdtp and convert , had the convertible trunk pans with the spare tire over to the right as shown. And they came with trunk dress up kits, body color paint, not the splatter paint.
I think Canadian built 64 Polara's had 64 Sport Fury guage bezels as well? It's underneath the spare tire

Depends how you look at it.... but in short, yesI think Canadian built 64 Polara's had 64 Sport guage bezels as well?
They all had them, but up here we just called it a Polara dash.Maybe the 500???
The trunk compartment holds a plethora of mysteries!
