I have a 1964 Dodge Polara 383 with stock converter I need to know the bolt size and thread for the converter
 
5/16 fine... but I would just put up a wanted ad for some correct originals. Not hardware store stuff
 
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Both these guys know what's going on. They are specific bolts.
 
These guys are spot on...true converter bolts have thinner heads for clearance.
