This is an original. Has the embossed paper, not smooth.
Has been taped on the backside in various places.
The one Steve Juliano had sold for over $9k because of the hype. Any idea of a real price?

Tough to factor the hype. And I’m sure it’s not consistent. Like you can’t say everything was 75% or 150% or whatever over real market price.

I’ve got a mint complete dealer salesman filmstrip kit in much better condition than the same one sold in Juliano Auction.

Tony D told me it was with 1/7th the Juliano Auction price.

Agreed.
This poster is in better condition than the one Steve had.
I don’t know of any that ever traded hands, other than that auction.
I do know it cost a buck new!

They repro’d that poster at one time I believe? That may hurt it.

A poster does have big visual impact. Stuff like brochures and books don’t, and they’ve fallen in value.

The people that would care about the small details between an original and repro display/automobilia collectible are drying up.

The repop was poor in quality. The colors were off, too.

You meant to say potential buyers are dying off. That’s reality. :(

Drying up and dying off. :(

My opinion: 50 year olds in hobby now are interested in different things that the 50 year olds in hobby 30 years ago. Also the availability of things electronically and less expensive reproduction graphics are a factor.

Robin McQueen's cool graphics business would not be possible 30 years ago without the tech we have now.
That guy on ebay/facebook selling those fake generic cased lighted signs too.
