What GPS navigator do you like, Garmin or Tom Tom or ?

I use the "Mrs".system. It's always telling me which lane to be in and how much over the speed limit I'm traveling. There are however inherent issues- the "Mrs" can't tell north from south, and I haven't figured out how to mute it. The other problematic bug to this unit is whenever the "system" receives a text, all directions are lost.

When we were in Horne Lake Caves area, 2 lost souls had used Google maps to get them lost. The road is very rough and gravel. Which should have been a clue. Google maps had lead them astray. They did not have real maps. They were lost and grumpy. Tough. The road signs would have worked much better.

Fastest and shorter distance can really be different.

That's what I have. Do you have it with traffic?

If so is your coverage as spotty as mine?
I don't have the traffic. No spotty coverage in my area, I rarely go long distances in the car that has the Garmin 53.

I’ve only used Garmin, but I have used them for about two decades. Driving in big cities is tough on those of us who come from small towns that have zero stop lights and little traffic. So when I go to a large urban center that I am not familiar with it is nice to have a nice, calm, computer generated voice tell me that in one hundred meters I need to turn right, and the little map show me where future turns are made so that I can get in the proper lane. I freaking love GPS’s.

I used a Garmin working as a delivery driver for a pharmacy and would have to make 20/30 stops daily. I could enter all the addresses and click on this one selection and it would automatically put all the stops in order. It would also save the addresses. Just start typing in an address and it would pop up before I was done typing. Each morning before I would leave it would only take 5 min or less to enter the addresses.

I hated the voice choices. Woman's voice sounded like a 60 year old chain smoker. I'd just watch the screen with the sound off.

I liked listing to "LaFonda" on my old Garmin, about the third time she had to say "Recalculating" she would get sarcastic as hell and be totally pissed at 5 or 6 times....
