Has anyone tried to mask and paint the black areas on the 65 belvedere headlight bezels? look at the pics below, the one that's all silver is mine, the other one is one from ebay.

I masked and painted mine.
I tried with a paint pen-wasn't steady enough. I had the painter who did my car do it-same paint pen-steadier hand! Turned out fine.

WOW!!!! did you use 1/4" masking/painters tape?

Yes
I used 1/8” fine line tape to mask the grill on my Coronet.
