i have a weird problem on my 1970 Charger, the washer pump wasnt hooked up when i got the car. was searching for the wiring for it and found in the main wire loom, jumped over to the pump, hooked it up and it runs ALL THE TIME, when the key is on/car is running, and no one has touched the momentary switch.

So, i am trying to get a wiring diagram of the momentary washer switch and the 3 speed wiper switch. i swapped the 2 wires at the washer switch, still the same problem. The other problem is im trying to do this without pulling the gauge dash panel, but that may not be possible.

anyone have any insight or info on the switch wiring?

Thanks!

you can see the face of the switch in these

What happens when you take the two wires off the washer switch?

ok, tried it, unhooked the wires at the switch, pump runs with key on. i thought the brown wire was for the pump? i made a little jumper because the loom won't go up there easily

It is. Try unplugging the wiper switch and see what happens. Do the wipers work and park correctly?

wipers work fine, the park was working but there may be some corrosion or something loose in the motor, i have to tap with a screw driver to get them to park. but they do.

so you think maybe there's some swapped from the switch to the washer button? one of the wires is confirmed is a jumper from wiper switch to the momentary washer, in the correct spot.

Unplug the wiper switch and see what the washers do.

The Brown to the pump comes from the M terminal on the bulkhead.
The M is the second plug from the top at the bulkhead.
Just make sure you have the correct Brown.
See drawing where pen is.

i have not seen that diagram before, so thank you for posting it.

Does it show where M go on the inside of the firewall, the other side of the bulkhead disconnect?

Did you unplug the wiper switch and see if the pump is still running??????

The other side goes from bulkhead to the switch in gauge cluster.
Here’s a page from the manual. The bulkhead is near bottom of the page. Follow wire from M (V10-1BR) up to switch near top of page. Factory Manual.
