Picked up a 1970 GTX

I recently purchased a 1970 GTX. Pretty solid car except the rear quarters and trunk floor. Trying to decide if I want to keep it with ac or delete it and put an air grabber on..

I would love to have both but I've heard that the airgrabber intake and seal under the hood hits the ac equipment so cars with ac didn't come with air grabber hood
 
One of my favorite cars. I usually like them original but I would do the AG and add a modern AC setup. Less aggravation to keep you cool and smaller compressor will fit.
 
I have Classic Air to go on my 70 RR Airgrabber car. Was told by vendor I would need to clock the compressor 90 degrees to fit lines exit to the side instead of top. I believe they have a picture on their website of this. Nice car!

I vaguely remember seeing a kit that will move the compressor down low by the power steering pump(?)
 
I would like to have both. If it's possible I will find the way. Love the car! My 1969 roadrunner had to get done first, but I do be collecting parts in the mean time.
 
Air Grabber and A/C. The Bouchillon Performance brackets will mount a Sanden compressor on top of the engine in the factory location and will clear a six pack Air Grabber base. Their website says their brackets will clear most fresh air and Shaker setups.

I'll be using the Classic Auto Air system in my V-code 70 GTX for a more factory-ish style look.
 
Here is a pic of a 70-72 440 Air Grabber base mounted with a Sanden AC compressor. You can see if the fittings were out the top they would hit, but rotated 90 degrees there is plenty of room. Now this is a Performer RPM intake so if you have a stock intake it will be an inch or so lower but will still clear.
