1963 Max Wedge in the Junkyard!??

Crazy. Looks like it sat inside, before.

Isn't a good tell the single pot master brake line route?
Its To Valuable To Let A Non Enthusiast Molest It !!!!!!!!!

Mopar Men To The Rescue!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The body shop across the street from my warehouse has state of the art frame equipment. And I have a copy of the frame dimensions.

So here's the deal... buddy went back today to get the drivetrain. The yard guys had already removed the intake setup and kept it. So my buddy got everything else. Its a 63 426 block...but not a Max Wedge block. However it does have either stage 1 or 2 heads on it. Has roller cam in it. Engine looks awesome inside, with no corrosion or obvious problems. Rolls right over. Some trick 727 tranny with a break and a shield. He got the rear, but haven't checked ratio yet. Stupidly, they flipped the car over to get rear out.

All the pictures he took today and texted to me refuse to load on this site for some reason...and that sucks.

The car was NOT a original Max Wedge...guys I know looked at it 25 years ago...but wasn't for sale of course.

Car has stickers from a track in Reading, PA on it.

Probably some good trim and interior stuff still on it.

Car is at the old Skyway junkyard on Tift St. In Buffalo, NY if any locals want to pick at the carcass.

My buddy paid like $500 for everything he got...so I'm guessing anything left will be cheap.

Personally, I'm jammed up tomorrow and can't finish stripping it.

All in all....it's ******* crazy a car like that gets junked in this day and age... stupid people doing stupid things.

About loading pics on this site, it's temperamental about the size. When you run into this just downsize you pic first. Easiest way is just to "crop" the picture a little.

Thanks for reporting back! It is an odd story now days for sure.

Wow. If they put MW heads on a regular block, it should be chamfered for the valves.
The heads are the best part!

Good to hear someone got some of the goodies.. what a waste of the rest of the car... A lot of Mopar guys would have paid way more for the entire car then they will ever get in pieces and scrap steel.
