That's the whole idea of it,mechanical roar and living on the edge.At 112 I think I want boring and uneventful, if my Coronet can even get up to triple digits it would probably be a white knuckle affair.
Don't want 'events' either with any car but an ICE powered car is just different. My 71 Cuda was really steady doing 100+ and was really different than my 70 Challenger was. The Challenger had more front end lift than I cared for plus the leading edges of the hood looked like someone was trying to pull it open without releasing the latch. Lowering the front end 1" helped with that though. Going 100+ in a very aero EV most likely has very little wind noise and like the OP said, very quiet. Quiet enough to turn on classical music on the stereo and not have to turn it up just so it could be heard? Anyways, the nicer the car, the more boring they become and that for me puts me to sleep and don't want that happening going 100+...At 112 I think I want boring and uneventful, if my Coronet can even get up to triple digits it would probably be a white knuckle affair.
I see what you are saying, I think I want something between boring and feeling like its on the edge. I used to like 9/10ths canyon driving but maybe living in a city with boring roads for 25 years has changed me.A Hellcat Redeye is well sorted and tops out at 203 MPH,of that doesn't do it for you,I don't know what will. I have gone over 140 MPH in old school Mopars, there's nothing boring about it!
No argument there, I suspect other than wind noise my 2022 truck would be pretty calm at triple digit speeds considering its accidentally gotten to about 90 when merging or passing. Same story for other late model cars I've had at around that speed, I don't think it would let me fall asleep tho unless I maintained that speed for a long duration of time, long enough to not feel special.Don't want 'events' either with any car but an ICE powered car is just different.
