What stupid things have YOU said to NON Mopar owners?

I ought to tell Mustang guys that their cars would be better if they converted them to a torsion bar suspension.

I like all the old iron in certain years. I got jabbed at a swap meet when I pulled in looking for parts. A couple Chevy guys asked if I was looking for a tow rope or jumper cables. I asked how much money could they afford to lose if they wanted to run their chevelle against my stroked hemi. The conversation got very civilized after that. All the old gm..mopars,,formoco’s are great when running well, and all are a pita when running like crap. As far as car shows or cruises…”if it don’t have chrome, leave it at home”
 
I try to refrain from asking stupid questions since I don't want to seem uneducated like some of them are. I once had a conversation with a guy who walked up to my 60 Dart Phoenix and asked me if it was a new Pontiac or an old one. I asked Why? He told me he had never seen one before. I told him it was neither but that is was an old Dodge. He then said, "Huh, I wonder why Pontiac let Dodge use the Phoenix name."
I reminded him that Dodge used the Phoenix name back in 1960 and 61. Pontiac didn't use it until 1980. He stared at me for a minute, then said OH and walked away.
 
Sadly the mustang and Chevy groups I avoid, I find early cars fascinating , brass era is interesting.. I will stir the pot once in awhile with kids but try to avoid the click.
 
Not stupid, but true.
Told my sister-in-law(wife's twin) she had to park her Jap **** on the road, the other side, not in my driveway. She did and walked the 80 yards up my driveway. I didn’t get any fun time that weekend. So yeah, stupid.
 
Can’t say it was stupid to say but…
1987, Acura owner came in store for parts. Can’t remember what he was looking for, been too long.
“Can’t find it in Acura catalog but I do have the Honda equivalent in stock.”
“It’s NOT a Honda!!!” fumed the customer.
“Under the pretty bonnet they have the same parts.”
Lost the sale. ;)
 
I think that was a ford corporation was problem. Notice how everything used they built other than an f series or mustang began with the letter E? Escape, exploder, expedition, etc.
 
Not sure it's stupid. But I have said before, and just recently to the old neighborhood friends that are all Chevy guys. "I see how you look at my Mopars with your coveting eyes. She is like the hot girl from school you were too scared to ask out? Well I can tell you she is FABULOUS!" Oh. Nice Nova!
