I myself grew up with classic heavy metal. I still love the bands from the 80s. One of my favorites is Megadeth. Last month my buddy, who owns a collectibles shop in CT, tells me to bring my wagon over and meet 2 original members of Megadeth. I am ecstatic. Dave Ellefson, the bassist, who by the way has arguably the greatest bass line in metal history (Peace Sells But Who's Buying), and Chris Polland the other lead guitarist. We all hung out, took pics and then went for pizza. It's almost surreal hearing them talk about other musicians like it's totally normal for them (which it is). My 65 Belvedere wagon (the Creep Wagon) with me at the top left, my buddy Chris, lower left who owns the shop, Top right is Dave Ellefson and lower right is Chris Polland. Center is our friend Matt who's writing biographies with them and the girl is Skye who sneaked in for the photo.

Later at the pizza parlor. The kid cooking our pizzas can out all humble like and asked for autographs. He was in awe.

Too bad Dave just can’t seem to get over being let go from Metallica. I’d like to see the original line up of Megadeath get together for at least 1 show.

Totally awesome! Megadeth is one of my all time favorites as well, pretty sure I have all or almost all of their CDs.

That is a cool story...thanks for sharing and the pictures. We always thought we were too old when Megadeth hit the scene. We were listening to Sabbath, BOC, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Mott the Hoople, Yes, Deep Purple, ETC. Only later in life I heard Angry Again and then started watching some of Megadeth's videos. I watch their videos far more often and have a respect for what Dave Mustaine and this band accomplished. It's quite a feat when a band makes it as big a Metallica did and the guitar player singer songwriter they kicked out picked up the pieces and made it big as well.
