For the rear clutch subassembly, I think this thrust washer should be replaced. I don't match any in the thrust washer kit - all the similar sized ones have tabs on them

Should I just clean up the original?

Thanks for any advice or hints on where to buy / part number for the correct replacement.

Where in the rear clutch did you find the pictured washer? It is not something I am familiar with.

On top of that area - maybe it's not a thrust washer?

That's not original. A fiber washer goes there, dark brown in color. Selective thickness.
How does the mating surface on the front drum look?

I have a fiber one in the thrust washer package that is within a few thousands of the same thickness.

Excuse me for the stupid question - front drum = front clutch retainer? I believe this is what mates there - haven't got to the reassembly part yet :)

Thoughts on condition?

Someone was trying to reduce endplay, polish the wear surface if it is rough. The oe washer there is usually around .062,you can go a little thicker.
Check the endplay with the trans standing on the output shaft, not the extension housing.

That metal piece that was in there and the fiber thrust washer that came with the pack of thrust washers are both around .062.

Use the fiber - less long term damage/wear concern?
