New home for my car out of the traffic of my main garage.

Wife kicked you out of the house? Thats one nice garage.

Not quite, for a family member who is having some health issues. Wanted to get them closer to me and still give them some independence.

Very cool! I go here when the wife kicks me out! I'm into stacking the Mopars these days.

My old racing partner Louie and I used to rent a one acre lot in South Milwaukee that had a two car garage with a tiny apartment on the second floor.

It was a junkyard years before and we continued the tradition using it to scrap cars.

One saturday we were cutting a '57 Mercury apart.. cut out the drivetrain because cast iron paid more than car bodies.

About 11am we headed to the local tavern for refreshments and lunch. While on break we saw fire engines come by sirens blaring. No biggie.

When we headed back to the yard we saw plumes of black smoke coming from the direction of where we were headed.

Yep... that old Mercury was fully engulfed in flames!

We just drove right past all the commotion like we were on vacation.

A few hours later the fire chief paid us a visit at Louie's home and wrote him a nice ticket for failing to control an open fire.

Well it WASN'T a fire when we left for lunch!!!!
