Need to watch the 'Engine masters' on mufflers, they did a great comparison
Flowmasters wasn't a big HP killer either, like some claim
like minimal hp in a 1,000hp combo,
don't believe the -www- BS/speculations
it's nowhere near 40% killing the flow, that total BS,
it's like a percent & they are better under 6k rpm than the rest too
(they are heavier, especially in the Delta 50 Series, ones tested below, like 17#s)
I've ran 9.77 @ 135 N/A & on N2O 8.58 @ 156 thru Flowmasters Delta 50 Series
American muscle car 3" mandrel bent exhaust, with 3" tailpipes out the rear
on my last 68 RR (silver car),
without exhaust & the mufflers it was a bit faster, mostly because of weight
not restrictions
I have the exact same exhaust on my current 68 RR, it's a bit tamer, less cam & compression
as to the OP, in a 13 second car it won't really matter anyway
at that power level almost any of the name brands, will do just fine, chambered or not
less than like 1cfm (maybe 2cfm) of flow loss, tested
(when my heads were being done, Mark Rowe(RIP)
with the 1-7/8 to 2" stepped headers
& Flowmasters Scavenger 4-2-1 (2" TUBE) w/3" x18" collectors,
the 18" extensions made more power alone, was more of the difference in power un capped
& it leaning out a tad, open exhaust, a few jets sizes up can cure that too, Wide Open Throttle
among other Exhaust episodes,
one below is on an over 1,000hp BBC combo,
it's nothing like a 400hp stockish deal
the junk 'Hookers, that are made in China' were the best in their test
I'm never going to use &/or buy them anyway, cheap Chinese junk
