In the United States, movies released after 1964 have a 95 year copyright. And after 1978, it's 70 years after the last surviving creator (screen writer, director or composer) has died.Anyone wondering why there aren't more free older movies to stream? I thought after tge copyright expired they are public domain.
For example, Shenandoah, starring Jimmy Stewart, was released 60 years ago in 1965.
Go on You Tube and search older movies. 100's on there. All free!Anyone wondering why there aren't more free older movies to stream? I thought after tge copyright expired they are public domain.

"At a boy, Luther!"
The Hangover 2 was right along the same routine. Lazy writing and a greedy studio with no standards. It’s as if they figured that they didn’t even have to try.I watched Spinal Tap to refresh my memory before seeing Tap II.
Tap II was not good. They pretty much just rehashed the same same jokes from the first movie. I'm sorry to say... "one and 1/2 stars".
