I'm only at 7500'. Some day planning to move higher up. I like the cold. Maybe Leadville, CO. 10158'. My whole family is like this. Norwegian genes.
My perfect temperature is low 50's to high 40's. I like when I walk outside and it's so cold you feel it deep in your lungs. I'd like to visit Siberia sometime.
A couple of Norwegian sayings. There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. And in Norway you have the white winter and the green winter.

One member called me out on the clothing one once. They said you've never spent a summer in Mississippi. I looked up when our first snowfall usually happens. October 16th. I think it's more like Halloween.
It sucks for the kids because they have to wear their winter coat over their costume. We only get about 6 trick or teaters. My neighborhood is mostly old people like me.

We have one rock formation in town called the Kissing Camels. It's a sandstone formation. When the ancestral Rockies eroded down they laid down huge sheets of sandstone. Then the new Rockies erupted tilting that sandstone bed vertically forming these walls. RRGTX pictures reminded me of this. Oh yeah, and the earth is only 6,000 years old according to some. You can come out and scale these walls if you choose to do so.

One person on here asked if the mountains have so much snow, why is water in short supply? Granite is an amorphous solid. No sedimentary beds that can receive and hold water.
