Can anyone identify this piece, I beleve it goes to the dash somehow I just cant remember where, also I have a flasher switch from a '67 that I want to install- has anyone have a wiring diagram that shows how their hooked up? Do they make a wiring harness for just the flasher?

That looks like a brace to the brake pedal support.
Your car must be a 66 without 4 ways?

Flasher was optional on a 1966. Probably had an add on harness. Flashers were standard in 1967 and wiring was made into the dash harness.

Yes it didn't have 4ways but im installing them on my 66, I have a 67 switch that works, there's a spot between the steering wheel and wiper switch where it will fit perfect and I found a Vid on youtube that shows an easy hookup...Im retired so I have time for useless stuff like this lol

I believe the part is the brace for the front fender. Location would be bottom of fender in front of the wheel

If that's the case , 1 hole should be threaded

That’s definitely an under-dash brace. There is a similar one on my ‘65. I’ll look thru my pics or under my dash when I get back home later today

Dash brace or radio support? Don't recall the lengths though.

MyMopar.com hosts stuff like wiring diagrams. Maybe try downloading the '67 diagram and locate that flasher switch, noting the colors and whatnot......then see what the '66 diagram looks like for comparison??

For that brace; my ‘65 has different angles on the ends. However it looks like it would be either a brace from the firewall/cowl to the brake pedal support or the bottom of the dash to a support point up near the firewall/cowl.
Picture 1 below is my 65 brake brace.
Picture 2 is the brace that goes from the lower dash to the windshield wiper motor plate.

The Flasher system in a 67 is quite involved, with multiple connections throughout. I'm not sure you'd want to mess with that. It can be done obviously, but again, you would have to modify connection points at various harness connectors, etc.

I have my dash cluster out and my steering wheel lowered at the moment, so I have easy access to the plug going to the steering column. I checked with the power probe and found the brake lights or turn signals left and right front and back wires. I think I can tap into those with a flasher and a fuse and my switch and I think I’ll be OK.
