Moving onto the front end, removed all firewall components, including the MC, brake hardliners and the distribution brake block (all the hardlines needed to be cut, because of the fittings were all rounded), because below the MC. You can see it’s an OG FY1 yellow car, before day 2 or 3 of firewall engine compartment black paint!
Preparing for primer and paint, jamming. Then install the new MC, brake hard lines, new Glenn Ray radiator, new correct fan, fan shroud, and clutch fan assembly.

It really irks me when the chevy guys blast the engine compartment black. Can't wait to see it yellow again.
For many years I used my Craftsman, US made, flare nut wrenches on fittings. Generally were pretty good. When I was working at a repair shop in 16-18, I was having issues with them rounding off some fittings, like rusty brake flare nuts. I borrowed one of my co-horts Snap On units to check out on the same nut. Way better fit and off they came. After that, I bought a set of Snap On's. For the last few years I've found that with many fittings being made overseas, China, that the hex is metric and the thread is US. Watch out for that.
