440 Source vs Hughes stroker kit

I used Ohio Crankshaft's kit (probably before 440 Source was around) with no regrets. Use the smallest overbore you can, it makes for stronger cylinder walls/better ring seal. RPM heads. Complete Hughes valvetrain (solid) and my 6 Pack induction. 10.6:1 CR, Dougs headers with 3" exhaust-X-pipe...

    auto trans temperature too high!!

I just wanted to add a tip for fellas using the Autometer water temp gauge (electric). Buy another sender unit for the trans and wire the two senders to a DPDT toggle switch. Now you have one temp gauge to read either coolant or transmission fluid. Mike

Did it shift OK before the reseal? Who replaced the seals? Was it a quick and dirty seal job? Could be a dirt issue. You need to check pressures to properly diagnose your issues. Were the clutch seals replaced too? We need lots of info here! Mike
