Sucks to see this as it's happening all over the US. I64 Motorplex in KY and Battlefield DragStrip MS. Any of you guys race there? Two Tracks I raced at years ago here are longer most Recent was Atco and the other was Englishtown. As if it isn't expensive enough to do now those racers will have...
Cause of other weather factors like I mentioned… at least they are honest. Cecil County is 400 or 500ft above sea level if I remember that said how did I and others make passes at below sea level? Krouse construction owns it so I guess they excavated the track down to that level for that day...
I understand altitude just fine. You do realize other weather factors are at play so throw barometric pressure, temperature and humidity out the window…. My 2 “thenths” holding up just fine…Lol
If you can get that car to 60ft it should go LOW 11's easily should be in the 1.5 range.... If you put a looser converter and some gear in it I think you will be surprised at the ET change...
Sucks seems that tracks are going like the dinosaurs. Another track kind of local to me closed.. Atco Raceway in New Jersey. They were an IRHA track so you could run 11:50’s there with no bar.. I would race on motor so I could dial it in 11:50, race and then take a nitrous pass and leave.. Only...
Hate to see that. Englishtown NJ is gone and rumor is ATCO in NJ is struggling and getting offers to become another business. I was worried when Maple Grove Raceway went up for sale.. Thankfully Kenny Koretsky bought it and now has Tasca Ford sponsorship. Otherwise it would be prime real estate...
This thread got me thinking and I wondered if a google search on You tube of Pottstown/422/Stowe etc would pick anything up then I did a Pottstown Road Runner search and low & behold.. First race. I raced this guy on motor, my car ran 11.50's on motor.. Car racing behind me was a tubbed Big...
When I was younger Street racing here was a big thing.. High Street in Pottstown which is a **** hole now was a great place to cruise and then race early in the AM.. Had the 1/4 mile marked off at a few places on RT422. With MapleGrove Raceway near by any Big Ford or Chevy show brought them down...
Well then it would be damaged like when you tow with your straps in line… Seriously never had that problem in 35 years. I never had one come loose. If you know what you are doing and use quality straps it’s way safer than having your car hop sideways when leaving the straps in line which is very...
Well everyone knew it was closed and sold… Reality hits when they actually start tearing it down… Sad to see another one officially gone. Thankfully Koretsky’s bought Maplegrove Raceway here in Pa. to keep it open and improve it… They are even going to try and have a New Year’s Eve race for the...
There is no torque on the load from all angles. There is no equal forces pulling forward, back and left to right like when crossed. Only forward and back allowing the load to shift right to left.
That is the kind of damage I have seen multiple times from inline straps as there is no strength to...
