Looks like pine pollen here about 2 months ago.
Yellow rain. Big stuff.
Doctors say the big stuff is just an irritant.
It's the small stuff you dont see so much that causes allergies.
Maybe that's like life?
My will says it's the little things that drive you crazy.
I don't even want doors to lock without me telling them to.
Again. Open the pod bay doors please , HAL
At 5 degrees if the car was having trouble running I don't think I would drive it anywhere.
But I'm southern.
I'm shopping too.
I don't understand why Blisten has this part exposed to the elements.
Most every other shock mfg has the "piston stem" covered with a skirt as it exits doesn't it?
I'm sure it has a fine seal or wiper around it but seems like a bad place for dirt to accumulate around the stem...
Here's a selection from the bowels of the interweb today.
As seen, the style varies.
One type seems to be no teeth with rubber bushing and metal sleeve contacting the mounting ears.
I ordered the current replacement rubber bushing for the FRONT inner fender mount this week from one of our MOPAR...
My 15 mins was before cell phone cameras and social media were available to us.
If they were around , the history of it would be different and would affect everyone of us.
I'm not making it up.
(That might apply to many things I suppose)
We have pictured here the vintage Gabriel (replacement?) rear shock that came off the car.
And a new Gabriel shock (82132) that is listed for a '"classic" car.
It seems to me that the upper mount (pictured) should be able to move as the angle changes between it and the lower axle mounting stud...
It was on all the national news last night and of course ET, which my wife watches just to kill time till Andy Griffith comes on.
If it was most any of us it wouldn't rate anything more than maybe a single story on your local stations.
Because it it bleeds, it leads
And bread and circuses.
Yea...
Boeing used to build a passenger plane that was boiler plate.
It could fly upside down. One did and landed to tell about it.
But that's another story.
I think any postmortem would remain a riddle wrapped in mystery inside of an enig-gine compartment.
Reminds me of when we had a JT8D engine that...
I happen to be going though one of these very cars. And it's the bulkhead feed that seems to give the most hot wire problems for what ever reason.
This might be a good time to inform that there seem to be two firewall connectors available.
You don't want this one.
You want this one from one...
Of course that wiring would have to short to ground and I would be sceptical of that happen in a wire bundle.
Chafing somewhere?
Not that many places it could the way it's built by Chrysler, but possible I suppose.
The other thing would require the circuit to be active and overloaded.
(Lights...
What strikes me odd about assuming electricity was the actual or sole cause is that the car was off.
No power would have been flowing.
I would think the wires would have been cooling from any problems?
I HAVE had an original meltdown of a 1973 vintage firewall bundle on my way to work.
I had...

I wish someone like Rick Hendrick a Billionaire would step up to help Steve who is a Automotive treasure with his vast knowledge like a walking encyclopedia. He needs to be able to keep his stuff so his spirit is not broken and he can fully recover, we need Steve in...
And it really doesn't even have to be a turd.
There are many, many parts of the country where weather allows driving an older car if one has the abilities and will.
A neglected Dart could be spruced up and if repaired to basic stock configuration would be exceptionally reliable with simple...
