    Race gas vs AV gas

My brother has been mixing Av fuel with 93 no alky prem . 50/50 , He has a high compression engine, dome pistons, with open chamber eddy heads. No issues , it's going on 2 summers now. Damn thing smells good when running even if it's a cheb. Lol

    Autoline Carb bog (video included)

Once you advance you will need to reset your idle speed , it will rise with advancing. All things considered, if it's running fine once it's warmed up you may want to run it as is for awhile , pull the plugs then and check how it's burning.

    Autoline Carb bog (video included)

Yes to advance you twist counter clockwise , to get another 5 degrees or so I don't think you will hit the coil. Roughly 1/4 " mabey 3/8 should be plenty.

    Autoline Carb bog (video included)

Yes 5 degree , like allready posted advance it between 5 to 10 and see how it runs once you get a light. Clean around the distributor base with some brake clean ect. Make a referance mark with a marker or chalk before moving timing. You can not really get a good adjustment on the air fuel...

funny thing happened on the way home from cruise night

If the plugs you replaced were fouled ck. the lbs of pressure your new fuel pump is putting out. Edelbrock advises to keep it at 6 lbs or under a little. If your problem showed up after the pump change you may foul another set of plugs.

    Thermoquad questions/issues/missing parts/advice.

What he said ^^^^^^^, I also love the thermoquad and run one on my 440. Sounds like yours is missing a few parts and several things can cause the conditions you report. I am thinking you probably have a (lean burn) 400 if it's the 77 cordoba engine. Going with the msd should help I would...

EDELBROCK CARBURETOR fuel sitting on secondary boosters ... wet secondaries?

That pump as advertised puts out 7.5 lbs of pressure. Edelbrock recommends a max pressure of 6.5lbs. Your pump could be putting out a little more than advertised. You need to check your fuel pressure. If over 6.5 lbs you should reduce it with a regulator. You could be pushing fuel past the...

Is a Edelbrock 1406 are good carb?

1406 / 600 edelbrock preformer is a very good carb. This would be a good pick for a 383. You will want to feed the positive side of the choke with switched 12 volts. ( not off the coil ) Nothing against Holley they build good carbs also. But for my $$ and set it and forget it I would get the...

    Lack of Power

You have some good advice . As far as your edelbrock carb 5 turns out on the air/ fuel screws is going to be pretty rich at idle. Without a vacuum gauge a good all around starting point is 2 turns out from seated. When screwing them both down into the seat once they hit bottom don't over...

    Which fuel to use

I run 87 non ethanol but I have a low compression RV 440 bottom. I would not have ethanol in the tank and carb if the car is going to be stored for winter ect. If your useing it and running the fuel through I don't see a problem. That stuff draws moisture so don't store a car with it in the tank.

TQ fuel leak at fuel supply line

Many times it is a crack in the steel fuel line at the flare from being over tightened.

Engine running like crap on ethanol

Can you buy 87 non ethanol ? If it is a fuel octane prob and 87 is available you may be able to blend in some AV gas or a booster to get back to 91 or close enough you can tune your way out, back off timing ect. Like posted ^^^ if it has set for a couple years you may want to pop the top on that...
