I regretted not putting in the a/c first, when I had to do it with the whole dash already installed. Problem was, I had so many electrical problems to solve, I put off restoring the a/c unit until all the electrical problems were fixed. Good luck with your project.
Hello BRYCE, best thing to do is type " 3 point seat belts" in the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and there are many threads there to get you some help. Good luck.
use "search" for 'Installing XV seat belts'. I had same problem and got help from the response's. I was looking more for the upper anchor spots. Hope this helps.
Tim, It's been a couple of years since I did it and at the same time I was changing out the shift housing as I had moved the trans shifting from the column to a center console. I also opted for one of Grants premium sleeves behind the steering wheel. A couple of photos attached. Like I said it's...
Don't know, but maybe Year-One perhaps. You may be better off trying to find an upholstery store or restoration shop near you and save the H&M charges as they are getting ridiculous. recently cost me $20+ to have a $44 item shipped.
Here's a couple of pics of how I installed the receiver to the tunnel. Also the belt coming up from the floor does have a half twist in it. As you pull the buckle across your chest the twist automatically straightens out.
Thanks CD for responding. If I'm seeing this correctly these pictures are both on the passenger side? How do you like the XV set-up? I notice on their pictures that the belt going up from the retractor to the top mounting point has one twist in it and the two I have also has one twist. Is this...
I'm installing these front seatbelts on a '70 charger. The interior has long been completed but the original shoulder belts were never mounted. I knew someday I would put in a 3 point system. Today's the day and I would like to confirm where the upper harness gets bolted into. I have attached...
It's amazing that the car has stayed in the family since it was new. Not many can claim that feat. Congratulations on your near completion and it's almost time for you to enjoy all the work that you have done.
Just a funny observation. You bought these covers in "83 when you were 16. It seems to me the kids in the family must have beat the hell out the back seat and NOW you're wondering why the springs are shot. LOL
Looks like you have done a good job on the resto, have you posted other pictures previously? If not, I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in your project.
When I finally had the interior stripped out, I was undecided where I was going with the finished look. OEM or custom. The naked inside looked disgusting and I just wanted to do something to visually take away the ugliness. I just needed a blank piece of paper to look at. It's primer paint and I...
1st day I got car. 12/3/15 Making some head way on interior. Last week. This was just the interior, tons of work were done elsewhere including the entire exterior, and normal repairs and replacements.
Hey Moca, I just saw that you responded to that thread. I forget the name of the series but I think the number was 1020 or 1040. I believe I got it thru Summit. Edit: Just looked it up. It's Corsa GT #1020.
I did mine this year. I think it looks good. A lot more comfortable then the old skinny 16", 4 1/2" dish wheel. The new one is actually 13.75" and it helps out nicely with the jittery p/s.
