I recently had to replace my never used new Autometer Ultralite tachometer. Just started the car-no tach? What am I missing? I checked all continuities, The fuel pump speed control, tach, and Fast 2.0 all are tied to the MSD tach output. Only the tach does not work. Any guidance fellas.

Oh ya, they took out the acid (probably replaced it with water). That's why it takes 24 instead of 1/2 hours to soak! I rinse them in my solvent tank and brush the pieces as I rinse.

I bought a pail about 5 years ago ($125.00) and decided with the low volume of carb rebuilds I was doing now days, I had to add a chemical surcharge to my billing.

This amount of misalignment may not bother operation if you are not driving aggressively. Belt drives can work with small misalignment, not ideal but, it will depend on RPM.

You may be able to unhook the return hose at the pump and direct the flow into a waste oil container and plug the tube on the pump. Start the motor and add new fluid while a second person rotates the steering wheel back and forth.

Not really. Chrysler used the same style gaskets through out the B engine production. Did your machinist finish for the steel gaskets or composition type gaskets?

Try your local auto parts store. They will need the number from the tag/screw holding the top on. It's a very simple carburetor and you can disassemble and clean (spray carb cleaner) it yourself. Blow out all the passages with compressed air and follow the carb kit instructions carefully.

Well I don't know but, obviously it presses something into something else! Ignorance can be fixed with education-stupid is mainly a genetic disorder!

Up in my neighborhood it used to get down as low as -40* and tens of thousands of people would drive their standard transmission vehicles to work on those cold mornings!
