I like it , the base models were nice cars & not that many are being preserved. I'm from California and noticed the blue plates, with the "Z" prefix it must have been reissued new plates around 1979
Beautiful car, from a low point in Chrysler history, make sure you do drive it, low mileage is great, but i don't think putting some miles on it will hurt the value. How often do you get a chance to drive a "new car that's almost 40 years old. This would be great car to use in movies, it's...
Nice find, if you get it, you have lots of work ahead of you. BB 1st generation Camaros have to be upwards of 25k plus these days, most people watch the BJ or Mecum auctions on TV and get the idea that everthing is worth what they sell them for. Either way, by the time you get done, your going...
I have been in the "Mopar" hobby for over 30 years. Use to be you would connect with other collectors and hobbist and buy and trade parts, or spend hours going through Hemmings to find what I needed.
I recall buying My 70 RR (about 1991) and it was just a whole bunch of parts stuffed...
Heres what the dash slammer looks like. in the 80's & 90's they were easy to find, now they are rare find. I do beleive you can get reporduction now.

Sounds like you have a good start, it's going to be the little one year only specific parts that will be hard to find. A lot of parts interchange with other 1970 Coronet models, there are not that many survivors for parts cars. Also some of the small interior parts are hard to fiind, like seat...
Here you go P.D.P.
The 1970 Road Runner bench seat medallions are part number is 2981980, i looked it up so many times i memorized the number. I'll post the e-bay link showing a picture of what they look like, who knows if someone looks at this reply a couple years from now if the link will be...
I had also heard all the fuel came out of the same storage tanks & the different brands would put their propriatory additives in at the rack as the trucks were loaded. And were hindered with 91 octane as premium in California.
I really like the Tuff wheel & and been pondering putting one in a 1970 Road Runner, I am also a big fan of the "Beep Beep" center on the steering wheel. Has anyone ever modified the Tuff steering wheel to inset the horn button into the horn pad?
I've attached a picture of the only 70 I have...
I found a set of (4) new seat medallions for my 70 RR with deluxe bench seat. It really helped when I stumbled across an actual part number for them, I put that in my search and was amazed I found them. I have a few other hard to find interior pieces still to go.
I guess thats half the fun...
Since this is a little older post, not sure what you did.
I would say $3-4000.00. unless your a body & paint guy, your going to have well over $10000.00 in the body. Then another $5000.00 in interior, plus tires, brake repairs, you can spend $30000.00 in no time at all. My advice is always start...
Not completely on same subject, That backfiring is like the old Hall-Scott gasoline truck engines from the 50's & 60's (1091 CID) They always backfired from the unburned fuel vapor in the hot exhaust system.
