Thanks. I have used SPI primer and liked it. They have a high build prime but I’m not sure how it compares to Slick Sand. Quite a few shops do use Slick Sand however it does make sense to stay with the same brand.

A lot of good things suggested. Before removing parts I would disconnect all vacuum lines one at time and plug them to see if anything changes. Plug them at the carb and intake. You could have a leaking hose that is not visible. Something that major could be the PVC or power brake booster hose...

The wrong ballast resistor or wiring can eventually damage your coil. I would say check with the manufacturer of the aftermarket company. I find going to the source is always a good solution. They should have tech support rep.
