HI,
OK. Plugs looked good but I replaced them anyway... didn't change anything. still popping.. Vacuum gauge was good only bouncing very little 1 Lb 14.5 to 13.5 .. so I took a stethoscope to it and found a bad leak in the EGR system I had plugged up. I made some plugs to go into the EGR cross...
HI,
for the over heating I replaced the radiator with one from ECP (Enginnerd Cooling Products). Now it barely gets over the 1/4 mark on the gauge with a 185* stat. going to go up to a 195* stat.
I replaced the oil and filter and the idiot light went away. so It was the oil loosing its...
HI,
Ok I've got the over heating under control .. but now I have a loss of power and when I get on it I have that Blap Blap sound in my exhaust? did the times of overheating hurt my motor????
it seamed to be fine right after I fixed the over heating but now its doing this?
and the idiot light...
HI,
Ok.. I went to test the light and I pulled the wire off the sender. and went to push a wire into the connection and the wire broke off. So I'm guessing that was the problem.. HOPING easy cheap fix...
HI,
I just need to check that the light is working... While I was driving the motor didn't get noisy like it lost oil pressure, but the light came on the went out and came on again and went out, now it does not come on with the key in the on position with motor not running ... I'm hoping its...
HI
Got the radiator Looks great, fit was a little off Had to drill the two top holes in the core support not a big deal and use fender washers to hold the bottom .. But WOW does it cool,, gauge barely goes over 1/4 mark. with 185* stat.. going to have to up it to a 195* I think. I'll see how it...
HI,
Ordered their radiator for the SB HD It would bolt up to the stock bolts .. the one that's in it now is wider and had been bolted into new holes drilled in to the core support ... so I'm going to need the stock bolts that screw into the stock mounting pieces.. does anyone know what size...
Hi, I've come to the conclusion my radiator is plugged. If I run at 1500 or below Rpm's it stays below 1/2 on the gauge..
I was descusing this with another guy on a different site and He suggested I can make a flushing system my self and clean it out with some water and acid.
HI
OK,, I've talked to some shops and
HI,
yes Thermostat 180*.. What I've been thinking about it being clogged up inside the out side is very clear you can see through very well... I Live in the capital city here and there is NO ONE that does radiator refurnish , Clean and rod or even repair...
HI,
Well I found out today if I stay 1500rpm's or lower it stays less than 1/2 way on the temp gauge.. I also noticed that my stock fan blade is crap metal very flexible and goes almost flat when adding RPM's to the motor.. So maybe a stiffer fan blade.. Timing is like 8 to 10* small block. cam...
HI,
OK.. I ether had the gaskets on wrong or a intake leak .. I had them replaced and without a shroud its running 1/2 way between the first mark and the 1/2 way mark on the gauge just like it used to ... So its fixed without a shroud... I checked the air flow and its moving are thru the core...
HI
Even without the thermostat it ran very hot (to boiling) coolant moves freely watching with out the cap. I don't need to just clean the outside I need to remove the spray Paint I painted it with I think that's where its plugged up
HI,
I think I know what I did... to make it look nice I painted the radiator and I think that's got it plugged up.. and not moving air..
Is there a way to clean it off/out like maybe brake fluid (I know that eats paint)? and hose it off with low pressure as to not bend up the vanes.
