Afternoon, been awhile since I was here last! Found a running, driving 75 Coronet wagon for a really great price that is in desperate need of a new gas tank. The stock replacement for it runs dang near 800 bucks up here in Canada, but in doing some research I believe I can get an earlier b-body...
A friend of mine swears that his 76 small block Cordoba has 2.14's in the rear, I've looked everywhere and can't find any mention of such a tall gear available in these cars. Is he mistaken or is Google just failing me on this one? That thing must accelerate at about half the speed of smell.
So I was under the rear of the Cordoba the other day getting ready to put the new shocks on and as I slid out from underneath it, I noticed something off about the rear leaf spring perch on the drivers side. It was getting dark so I grabbed my flashlight and what I saw made my heart sink. The...
Well, got my Summit G9041 headers in the other day along with their universal 2.5" x-pipe kit. For being such cheap units, the headers are amazingly well built with extremely thick flanges at the head as well as the collectors and very good welds. Two of the tubes are also dimpled for steering...
Anybody have a source for an engine wiring diagram for a 76 big block Cordoba? It's been converted from lean burn already, just got a little over zealous when unplugging everything before the engine swap.
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but will the TTi exhaust systems fit on a 76 Cordoba with the single exhaust tank? Even with the exchange to get it into Canada, it's still cheaper than any of the exhaust shops around here.
I knew I'd find another car sooner or later and punt the current project to the curb! A friend found this 76 big block out in Saskatchewan slated to be crushed within the next couple of weeks, so after some quick negotiating, it's coming home! Great to be back, hopefully will have the 76 home...
Glad too see this place so active still after not being here in quite some time!
The last time I posted I believe I had just rebuilt the carb and was getting ready to bolt it back on. Well we did, and the old girl ran like a top. Took it for a short drive, got it all ready to come home and...
So, got the Cordoba to fire and run for a few seconds after getting some fuel in the float bowl through the vent, but still can't get it to run on fuel from the tank. I was assured more that once that the tank was siphoned dry right after it was parked, so a bunch of old fuel isn't my main...
Well, after being given the Cordoba in January, I was finally able to find some free time to go out to where it's sitting and get a little work done on it in preparation to get it home. Got air in all the tires, took the Shop Vac out and with the help of an inverter, managed to get a lot of the...
I know this isn't the proper forum for parts, but I figure being 75-79 specific, I might have a better shot.
I need a parking light. For some reason the passenger side is missing just the plastic lens.
What's everyone running for tires out there? I want to go a bit wider all the way around the Cordoba, and wouldn't mind a few pics just to get an idea of how different sizes might look on the car.
Stock is about 215/75R15 I believe, I was thinking of going 235/65R15 at all 4 corners.
Been reading up on the different 360's available in my 77 Cordoba and came across the E58 4 bbl option. Was there a big difference in power from my 2 bbl to the E58? And were there any other 360 options? I'd like to get a little more grunt out of the thing, but don't want to go nuts until I...
