Law Enforcement apprehends a ‘Bad Guy’ FBBO member at Carlisle

That's the problem with a lot of these small boroughs in PA. They usually have a few full time guys and then several part timer's. The overall quality of the individuals applying for these positions IMO is substandard, and has been for many years. But a lot of departments, including PSP have...

    295/65/15 Fitment

A friend has a 68 Charger and he just fit 325 50 15's on the back with no modifications on a set of 15x10 Cragars. I'm running the 295 55 15's (15x10 5" BS) on the 68 RR and I we mounted one of his 325's on my wheel and it wouldn't fit. It was too close to the leaf spring for me, but on the...

    295/65/15 Fitment

    MT also makes a 295 55 15 tire and that is what I use. It's 28" tall, so same height as a 275 60 15. I was running them on 15x8 and recently switched to a 15x10.

best tire combo? 275/60/15 rear.. 235/60/15 looks short for front.

Thank you! 33 IMP is correct. The rears are Mickey Thompson ET Street SS Drag radials. The front are an older set of firestones that I will be replacing over the winter. I won't drive one of these older cars with power on anything but drag radials. I don't worry about the car going sideways...

best tire combo? 275/60/15 rear.. 235/60/15 looks short for front.

IMO, 295/55/15 is the sweet spot. They are the same height as the 275/60/15 and fit on an 8" rim. I am running the 295/55/15 in the rear and 225/70/15 up front.

    478 Hemi upgrades question

I got it buttoned up and running this afternoon with the help of two good friends. Earlier this week I attempted the same and the Edelbrock suggested fuel line kit was complete junk that leaked horribly. So that got returned and I made a trip to A-1 Racing Products in Ivyland PA. Brad is the...

    Hemi 2x4 air cleaner suggestions

I am finishing up the swap from the KB marine intake with Edelbrock 500's to the Edelbrock 7524 intake with 1912 800 cfm AVS carbs on a 1968 RR with a 478 Hemi. The previous setup had 7" round air cleaners with 2" tall elements. Since the spacing on this new manifold is smaller ( 6 7/16") I...

    478 Hemi upgrades question

Just an update. I talked to Ray on Thursday and my carbs are done and everything is ready. I'm planning to drive out to pick it all up hopefully early this week. The goal is to get it swapped out and on the road to wake up my neighbors on Easter Sunday, haha. I'll update this thread with my...

    478 Hemi upgrades question

I appreciate all of the replies. When I had purchased this car the motor was already set up this way. finoke - I am just outside of Doylestown, so you are probable pretty close. Runcharger - I told him that its a street car, but that I want to maximize the power potential. He told me I could...

    478 Hemi upgrades question

I have a 478 Barton hemi that is currently topped with the Keith Black Marine dual quad intake (2531921) and Edelbrock 1404 (500cfm) carbs. I need to replace my intake manifold gasket and decided to make some upgrades since the intake and carbs have to come off. I spoke with Ray Barton and...

what tires for the 1/4 mile?

I'd recommend the Mickey Thompson ET Street SS. I use them on my buick on the street and on the occassional track trip. The Road Runner will be getting a set of 295/55/15 on the rear for this upcoming season
