    67 Charger temp control access

Thanks! Sounds like I have to take the IP bezel off regardless. I think the temp cable controller may be gummed up which is why it was skidding when I moved the lever. My 69 Charger has the same problem but worse. It is near impossible to slide.

    67 Charger temp control access

Well, it started because I was installing a repaired radio and speaker to the 67. The temp cable was slipping at the control so I had the bright idea to try and crimp it tighter…boing…off came the spring clip…. I tried to snap it back on but it’s in a blind spot and I can’t get enough pressure...

67 Charger center console, paint or dye?

I have a center console that’s a two piece fiberglass unit in my 67. It’s not original to the car and was told it probably came from a coronet. I am trying to fix a crack and then want to freshen it up because it looks a little faded in spots. It’s black, and I want to keep it that way...

Redoing center console questions, 67 Charger

That makes sense. The console was not original to the car, it was a column car originally. It has a 66 EL gear selected plate and wiring harness in it as well which is why I put a 66 console clock in it, I liked the all EL look. I noticed it was beefer than my 69 console for sure. Sounds like...

Redoing center console questions, 67 Charger

Mine is a 2 piece. Not like a 66 all the way to the back, almost like they used the front half of a 66 with a bolt on short section to make it like the standard 68-70 consoles. I don’t think it’s plastic but it could be wrong

Redoing center console questions, 67 Charger

Well, this started with adding a console clock to my 67 Charger and has grown to removing the console and looking to fix it up. Hopefully this doesn’t get too long winded, I just want to get this fixed up and put it back in. Here we go 1. Fiberglass has 2 cracks in it, one passenger side near...

Anyone install the cardboard glove box insert?

Anyone install the cardboard glove box insert?

i am working on my 69 Charger and I have to replace the cardboard insert on the glove box. The old one was water damaged and torn which came out without a problem. The new one I can’t figure out how to put it in without damaging it and am worried about damaging it while putting it in. Anyone...

First Gen Charger signal Flasher location

Ok, if any of you have been been following this thread, all this was done on a 67 Charger. Well, today I was going to replace the flashers on my 69 Charger. All the lights we changed a few weeks ago so this was the last step. Surprise, the 69 takes an oddball 3 prong relay. Not the same as...

    Troubleshooting reverse lights

maybe I take on too many projects at one time, I finally figured out how to replace the reverse light bulbs on the 67 Charger (thank you gaskets that double as glue). I was testing them and found neither work, not with the old bulbs and not with the LEDs I was going to replace them with. I...

    Tic tock tac wiring

trying to clean up an old issue I have. My 69 Charger came stock with a clock that never worked (big surprise there, right). When the engine was rebuilt a few years ago I had a stock tic tock tac rebuilt and sent the cluster out to be refaced. Everything looks like new still 5 years later...

First Gen Charger signal Flasher location

As far as what products on used, for the 1157 bulbs I bought them here.https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/plasma6.html?attribs=75 I bought the red 6 pack for the 67 tail lights. I got the yellow 1157 (running lights) and 1156 white here for reverse lights. For this style you can’t beat the...
