You could be right, the passenger belt is still there (bolt turns along with nut) but no cover boot. I can’t see how they got the boot, if there to start, off over the catch. My car was a very cheap, no options. But a boot will go back.

I sprayed the rear brake shields and front bumper brackets in epoxy. I blasted the shields before spraying to get some of the staining off of them.
Out of the citric acid solution and before blasting:

Boring, never. Aggravating at times you bet. Best thing I ever did was walk out of my Plastics Plant after 20 years in 2005 and went to airplanes full time. That has never been boring and no matter which business it's been, my Wife has always been there to keep me sane and not hit trees! LOL...
