Not only Elwood, but I have a couple that my Dad had from his tools. Still works...both...and I have the bits as well. Still a relevant tool even today...cr8crshr/Bill :thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:
I have a 69 GTX that a purchased as an incomplete project. The 440 has been professionally rebuilt by previous owner and remains pretty stock, no performance mods from what I was told. The project came with many parts to complete the car to include a Mancini Pro Billet distributor and an MSD 6AL...
73 dodge charger, got three of the ball joints out with the super 1 59/64” socket.
Then found that the driver side lower ball joint doesn’t take the socket. Looked and it’s a round head. I’m going to assume it’s a press in but… WTF?!
I don’t ever remember that there was a mix of socket and...
If I was building a mild 440 for myself, a 6401 would be in the mix. But for your stated use, I'd choose the 6400. A purple shaft hydraulic would be in the mix too, except for the INSANE money being charged for them now.
But I haven't built a "mild" engine in a lot of years.
(440s with purple...
My old daily driver was a '63 MG Midget which got 45MPG @ 4000RPM all day long. The old Hillman and Datsun PU's with a small 4cyl got over 40MPG too. Just as long as you were in no big hurry!
My last ordered tie rod sleeve is out for delivery today. I freaked out yesterday, I remembered ordering a lower ball joint and another upper and I searched all over this place and couldn't find them. Come to find out they hadn't been sent yet. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
It has...
Yeah not my first rodeo with them, back around 04 or so I bought a 91 Stealth RT for like $2500, went to get plates and they told me that the tax value was $18000... I ended up licensing it in ND (my home state) and then eventually relicensed it in WA at the correct value via a form they came up...
Outages in random towns. I heard a mammoth tumble weed caused the line to trip. Wyoming grows world class giant Tumbleweeds and they can bunch up to make trouble, but the power company has not said exactly what happened. Was the trip from solar flares? William Shatner will find out.
I don't...
A friend of mine has had a heart condition for about 10 years or so, constantly going to the doctor for blood tests check ups etc at least once a month, and taking aspirin every day. for what I can understand of it. Well I stopped by his shop to let him know I should have my car running by...
I recently picked up a 1971 GTX and the dash frame is completely rusted out and am wanting to go from a non-ac frame to an ac frame. How does one go about legally replacing the dash frame and swapping the vin from one part to the next? Can I just go buy an ac frame and swap the vin from frame to...
I had a stare session with the brake hose and caliper on the car. I figured my best solution was to remove the caliper and whittle down the area under the banjo fitting. It seems like the fitting pocket was cut too far into the caliper. Got that area trimmed down which allowed the banjo to...
