Locked My Keys in My Truck $#&!

I got to be an expert on breaking into Mack trucks during my corporate tour. The old R models were too easy, pop the vent wing window inside out, grab the inside door handle, and then bump the terminals on the starter relay with a quarter. The non ecm diesel engines would run without...

Where did you and your car go today

I edited the picture, made it a little smaller. It fixed the rotation problem. I have no idea how or why, but it did.

what carb to use on stock 383

FWIW, IMO, on a stock 4bbl big block motor, headers are likely the biggest bang for buck single improvement upgrade possible that even might include a minor weight savings and mileage increase.

    Do you dread family gatherings?

I am also an only child and both my parents passed years ago. My wife has a large family, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. We have 3 sons, and 2 grandsons. Numerous nieces and nephews, and my son’s in-laws. We always host Thanksgiving. This year almost everyone will be here, relatives who live in...

    American health care

Great news that he's better!! I agree with Mike, it works like this, with everyone I do business with. You do your job and I'll do mine. First, remember all doctors are just like anyone, human, not God. If he can't do the job, we have a discussion and I move on. I've told my doctors practicing...

Locked My Keys in My Truck $#&!

Pretty easy if the windows are cracked open a bit. Even if not, call a towing company and they will be in in a min. or two. They would probably reach inside with their unlock tool and hit the power lock button. Hide a door key somewhere on the truck or in your wallet.

    What year buddy seat....

I learned at Don Garlits, that there are at least two styles of mounting. My 72-74 cars have two different mounts, one at the rear that attaches to the sides under the hinge area and folds up after bending over the transmission tunnel. ...and a different style in the front, that bolts to the...

I bought one of those a few years ago at a yard sale. My wife mentioned that was one of the first tools she bought. So I bought it for her.

    Older movies you watched lately.....?

About two years after I moved to FL (1990), I missed my turn off I-4 coming back from a concert. I got off at the next exit, and rather than try to figure out how to get back, decided to turn around...in an orange grove. My 71 torino gt did not have a limited slip axle and I got stuck. As I...

Locked My Keys in My Truck $#&!

My dad used to keep a Phillips screwdriver under the hood, to take off the taillight lens.... where he kept a spare key. Sometimes just kept a key on his ring with a point on it that would work on a phillips screw. The idea doesn't work with newer cars nowadays.

    Do you dread family gatherings?

We moved 1200 miles away from the "family hub" 38 yrs ago for my job and, for the most part, are the ones who have to travel if we want to be with family at the holidays. We used to love spending time with everyone and miss it, but really hate traveling during the holidays. My mother's family is...
