I think you did ok not riding in the back seat and getting towed and impounded .
Pay the ticket , take what ever class they want you to and buy a lotto ticket, I think you got lucky.
I swapped my OEM bulbs for LEDs in my 65 Coronet. Lighting was improved but less than I hoped for. I think the entire lighting system has been improved in newer cars through better engineering and technology so I can live with less if it means driving a real car!
