Post #20. I’ve had first hand experience of the 1009 gasket hanging on the edge of the bore and the fire ring getting squeezed over the edge, allowing the combustion gasses to get past the fire ring and torch the gasket. So, I just won’t use them any longer on a 440 or 400 block. Later model...
