Need some opinions on wheel choices

Oh I love steelies and dog dish caps. The last 6 cars I restored had them though. Looking to do something different.

Need some opinions on wheel choices

Yeah my rear tires are 285/40-18s, and are 27” tall. I wish there was an 18” tire that was 28” tall or so, while maintaining the width. I tried a 285/50-18 but they were 29.2” tall and looked like they came off of an SUV.

Need some opinions on wheel choices

I’m not a big Keystone fan but that’s a beautiful car!

Need some opinions on wheel choices

On a Charger, I agree. I don’t know how they’d look on a Bee though.

Need some opinions on wheel choices

I currently have American Racing Torq Thrust IIs on my 69. The fronts are 17x7 and the rears are 18x8. I’m not a huge fan of “big” wheels and small sidewalls on 60s-70s cars. I also have a set of American Racing Outlaw 1 wheels, 15x7 front, and 15x8.5 rear. The 17/18s kinda grew on me a little...

    Minii starter disaster job.

Who said I’m buying NEW starters? I usually pick up factory 1.5kw or 1.8kw starters from a junkyard (I have a stockpile), or worse comes to worse, a parts store reman, and I go through it before installation. I’ve NEVER had a problem with a factory style starter; from 12 to 1 small blocks, to...

Best source for a correct T/S cancel cam for 69

I found this one from YearOne. Part number BH327. Would this be the correct one? I haven’t pulled my steering wheel yet.

Best source for a correct T/S cancel cam for 69

Can anybody recommend a source/vendor for a turn signal cancel cam for the pre-69 columns? All I’m finding is for the 70-newer columns.

    Minii starter disaster job.

I hate mini starters, mainly because of the sound. Nothing like a factory 1.8kw starter. You know it’ll fit, and it has the correct Chrysler sound.

    67 ply belevedre dash removal

There are 6 bolts along the top of the dash. Use shorter bolts and reinstall from the bottom.

    67 ply belevedre dash removal

I didn’t take “step by step” photos of my last dash swap. There really isn’t much to it. Strip the dash frame, break the bolts loose from underneath with vice grips and back them out enough to get a wrench on the bolt head from above. Comes right out.

    67 ply belevedre dash removal

I just pulled the dash out of my 69 a few months ago without pulling the windshield. I’ve done many like that over the years. Never pulled the glass on any of them

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

He will after a while. Like I said, take a 70 GL to a Mopar show and see what happens. After the kids and toothless hicks get done drooling over it, then what? Even at non-Mopar events, you’d be surprised at the people that notice there is something “off” about the car. Doesn’t matter to me...

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

But when somebody posts on a public forum asking for OPINIONS, that person should be willing to accept OPINIONS from both sides.

    Flat Orange General Lee? Opinions.

You’re lucky regarding the GLs. There are 4 of them running around the Phoenix metro area. 68-70 Chargers aren’t rare around here either.

Who rebuilds factory fuel sending units?

I have a box full of factory Chrysler 68-70 B-body fuel sending units. None of them function as the contacts are worn from the wipers. I’m tired of aftermarket junk and am looking to have one of my originals rebuilt for my 69. Any companies that can be recommended?
