    Gear Vendors on a A833

Aw, man. I was hoping they would have kept the .73 OD ratio. Thanks. At least the 2.66 1st makes it more useable and less likely to be a granny gear with numerically higher final drives.

Dumb question but what harnesses do I need

With used harnesses, you may run into a lot of brittle ones. There are certainly good ones out there, but if you do go with new... another vote for M&H.

    Distributor timing with .590 cam

I don't know about that. When I ran 440's (including the 590 cam), granted they were race only, but they liked 38 - 40 degrees total timing. My strokers are more efficient and are around 32 degrees total.

    You're some kind of stooopid!!!

In california? You betcha! They think that cause the law gave them the rightaway, they can do what they please, and walk as slowly as they want. Over a thousand pedestrians are killed in california each year, about 15% of the nation-wide total.

What's it Worth 68 Coronet R/T on eBay. YEP it's green!

I know the upper trim on a 440 is held on with studs (that can be ground down flush), and I think rocker trim is the same, no holes.

    Cats

I clearly remember the first time my childhood cat was exposed to snow. 20 pound orange tabby. Shot straight up about 3 feet, convulsed a bit, landed and then slowly backed out of it. After that, he liked it.

    440 source heads

What did you end up doing? Anyone know if I would be around the same money reworking a set of 915 heads?

Fuel system update on 67 Coronet 440cid

A neighbor has a big cube oldsmobile. He used to run a 250gph pump. This pump was a maintenance issue and finally failed. He ended buying a new tank with a modetn submerged pump. He already had a regulator installed that seems to be capatable. New pump is 90gph and uses a rather generous return...

    FOR SALE A-833 OD 4-speed

I used a truck shifter with 71-74 B body "bench/buddy seat" mount and rods. It worked fine. I think @RR Fan Dan has buckets/console, which would use different mount/rods.

I don't remember seeing this in the old days??

Real race cars have 4.88 gears, that 1-2 shift comes up real quick. Overheated clutches wouldn't be good. Back in the day some tracks have a sloped starting line and some stick shift cars would roll at. the line and go red

    Distributor timing with .590 cam

The cam is about 275° @ 0.050. Not 230-240 street grind.

    Rear tire size

Agree. It's likely not rubbing the spring. My slicks are within 3/8" to the spring, and don't rub. But my car doesn't handle for ship, so it's not likely to rub on the inner fender either.

What do you mean machine for clearance? That looks like a normal High compression race piston. So yes probably a motor that was raced.
