68 road runner non a/c, anyone put a/c vents in the oem locations ?

Still have to cut holes in the metal part of dash to fit them in, and I don’t find any reproduction vents, only old original. And big $ , too !

68 road runner non a/c, anyone put a/c vents in the oem locations ?

Putting a classic air heat/air unit in my 68 road runner. Been looking at the dash, thinking it would be “cool” to put the a/c vents in the factory air locations. Would take a steady hand with the cut off wheel and die grinder for the outboard locations, but the real challenge is putting it...

    Aluminum intake bolt torque

Changing my intake to a performer rpm on my 68 383 roadrunner. FSM torque is for a cast iron intake . My heads are still 906 cast iron. Since the intake is aluminum should the torque of the bolts be less ? The same as FSM ? Thoughts ?? Thanks to everyone for advice !

    Chrome Magnum 500 Wheels

Well, mine are not post pandemic, but bought new from wheel vintiques about 2015. The chrome is still great. A few chips on black from changing tires 3 times since then. I notice no vibrations and I drive 70+ on the highway. Just my experience .

Spark plug with 5/8 hex ?

It gets driven about 5-6k a year, so I suppose I’m just a little too cautious. Thanks for your comment.

Spark plug with 5/8 hex ?

I’m using RJ12YC plugs. Looks like a 3/8 reach, 13/16 hex. Have also used Bosch WR9FP,same reach and hex, which are NLA. Thanks for your comment.

Spark plug with 5/8 hex ?

I remember those, but can’t find any numbers that are 5/8 hex. Thanks for the comment !

Spark plug with 5/8 hex ?

I usually change the plugs in my 383 roadrunner every winter. Maybe overkill, but I hate to have issues on a long cruise to a show. It has old hooker 1 7/8 tube headers on it, and some plugs are challenging to change. I’ve been trying to research an equivalent plug, but with a 5/8 hex. Spent...

HELP!! Vent Window Seal Problem. What am I doing wrong??

Did you change the glass setting tape the glass sits in at the bottom of the channel ? Could the glass be too low in the frame . Hard to raise the bottom frame on the vent glass up unless you take the whole window frame out of the door and try to move the pin up that is attached to the bottom...

Under dash A/C with OEM heater OR complete behind dash system ?

Your under dash unit has heat, too ? Does it have any defrost outlets ? I like the idea of yours, but humidity here in the spring and fall need a defrost occasionally. Nice car and nice work, too !
