I'm assuming the later ones are much heavier than the early 70s. I think a 73 Dart bumper weighs about as much as a 72 Dart....
My 72 Satellite sedan is about 3600 with me. Unfortunately, it sounds like 4000 might be accurate. Between the crash bumpers, side impact and roof support, I wouldn't...
Hey All:
Looking at a couple of later 70s Furies and such. Goofy 70s styling is growing on me, and well that's about all the Mopar I can afford any more.
Anyone have an idea on weight on these cars? I would think the crash stuff would add a lot of extra.
Thanks,
Steve
...dynamic compression-be compatible with nitrous, sound cool) 4 bbl intake, 570 cfm carb, Hooker Super Comp headers and 2.5 inch dual exhaust. It *does* sound cool (people ask if its a 440-LOL) makes about 200 rwhp. Makes almost 300 rwhp on a hundred shot of nitrous. It is all done by 5000 RPM...
Hello All:
Want to convert my 72 satellite sedan to roadrunner/satellite hardtop rear bumper. Need a bumper, any bracketry you're willing to part with and the valence under the bumper. Patina'd / imperfect etc are good or maybe better because it'll match the rest of the car.
Let me know what...
I'm dynoing it this week. We'll see how much it picks up.
Plugs are all pretty easy to do. You do have to disassemble the stock automatic column shift (no biggie). A couple of the header bolts are a pain because the tubes aren't dimpled, but that's a small price to pay for the mega easy install...
WOW! Thanks so much for sharing this information. The Super Comps fit my satellite SUPER easy. Granted I had the car on a lift, but snaking them up through from underneath took about 5 minutes. No swearing, no denting to fit, no pickle fork or air hammer. I was able to just hang them on the...
Hey All:
Need to get some u joints asap and don't have access to the car at the moment. Is there any way to tell which u joints this car has? Its a 72 satellite sedan with a 904 and 318? If there's one or two it could be I'll just get both.
Thanks for any help!
Steve
Hey:
I believe it was rated at 150 at 4000 RPM. However, we made 130 rwhp with it on the dyno at 3700 RPM, through the two barrel and stock tetanus infested exhaust. 4 bbl headers and cam should get us close to that 250 rwhp if it didn't get hurt on the dyno.
