This car is an excellent driver. It was originally a 383 car with an Auto trans. It has been converted to 440, 4 speed. Please read details below.
- 440 six-pack, aluminum heads, sheet-metal valve covers, Competition Cam & Solid lifters, Shaft mounted Roller Rockers
- The car was converted...
I know this is off-topic here, but unless that Carpal tunnel is really bad, I'd think twice. I had a mild case, decided to do it and I've regretted it ever since. Still have more pain, different pain and further issues. Do your homework and get a second opinion. Good Luck.
If you have your cam card, send it to your builder of choice and talk with them about what you're looking for. They can pick the correct setup to get you down the road. I've used Continental before for custom builds, but don't know if they're still around.
I had to remove my front seats to be able to push mine back hard enough. I have a 1969 Super Bee, but I believe it is the same. Push straight back with your feet with the front seats removed and it should pop out.
I'm working with someone locally on this. If it doesn't fall through, I'll get back with you next week. I priced shipping for someone in the Midwest and it was around
$150 boxed and shipped.
Thanks for the replies. I've been researching and it is a Chevy type Prop valve, or Combination Valve, as it should be called. It is a Dist Block, Metering Valve, Prop valve all in one. It looks to me if I replace this with the OEM setup, I believe there are two separate pieces with a bracket...
Interesting, but not surprised. I'm a little hesitant to start touching things, but I'm not happy with the brakes. It's like working on old plumbing in your house. Once you touch it, you end up replacing everything. Do you think it is a Proportioning valve and dist block in one? Maybe I...
Currently have a 1969 Super Bee with manual brakes, Wilwood discs up front and stock drums in the back. I'm looking to add a Hydroboost system to the car. My question is about whether the device in the pictures is just a Distribution block or a dist block/Prop valve. I don't see a typical...
I am selling the Console removed from my 1969 Super Bee with Automatic shifter and all the parts that were removed. The car was converted last year over to the A-833 4 speed and I did not want the console put back. I have the Console, shifter, linkages, etc. for sale. The console itself is in...
Used to have a Manual VB in one of my other cars on the floor. It was mainly a Track car with plates. I enjoyed shifting that as the car was a beast. It wasn't meant to take a half hour drive somewhere. For my Super Bee, I wouldn't want it. It only forces you to shift all the time, as...
I have the same issue, tired of it, but haven't had time to diagnose it. I have a 440-6 pack car and the former owner told me that when it sits a few days, the gas will leak back and you have to crank it for 30 seconds to start the car. That is pretty accurate. Once it runs, it starts quick...
I don't have any specs on the build. It looks like a full size converter, with a mild stall speed. Car is easily driven on the street. Trans definitely has a shift kit, normal shifting valve body. If you want to talk, send me a PM and I'll give you my phone number. Thanks.
I just had my Super Bee converted over to a Passon Hemi 4 speed. I have the old 727 transmission, converter and flexplate. I bought the car in January 2020, drove it throughout last year and the transmission was in perfect operating condition. One of the pictures shows a Build date of 2012...
