    IDing Brake Proportioning Blocks

I have saved several of these over the years and need to pick one out matched for for street rod with F-body style front disc/rear 10 inch drum combo. Of course I did not tag them. Does anyone know how to identify these things?

Unusual Cordoba Race Car Auction for Charity

For the jaded racer, here is something unusual. A 77 Doba capable of high triple digit speeds up for auction. The builder (not me) has been building race cars his whole life and it is really well done. There is way more value in this car than it will probably sell for, and the auction is for a...

    Anyone Ever Traded Cars?

Around 2001 or so I traded my 68 Dart for a 70 Charger. The Dart had a rollbar, original paint, a 440 transplant, and ran 12's. The Charger also had a original paint and was a column shift plain jane 383 2bbl car. We were both ready for a change and were happy with the deal (even after it was...

A Cave Man Catches a Ride With George Jetson

Well, I got a ride in a Tesla Model Y Dual Motor with sport package last night... and it changed my perspective. I see why people like these things. It was very comfortable, handled great, and was very snappy. Reportedly a 12.5 quarter, 155 mph top speed and a 300 mile range and will charge up...

    Glyptal Red

I changed an intake the other day and re-found that old glistening Glyptal Red valley staring me in the face. I forgot all about that stuff. This is in a .060 over 68 440 HP short block that I got for $100 many years ago. I just put some heads on it and dropped it in a car and still run it...

    Tire Shop Foibles

In the past I have had tire shops mount the wrong size tires, use mismatched valve stems, mount two tires white letters out and two tires white letters in, and put the big tires on the small wheels and the small tires on the big wheels. So now I always double check these things when I pick them...

FOUND Carter AVS 4640SA Whole or Part

Someone must have dropped mine in the past and broke off a piece of the top casting. I'm looking for just the top (parts carb), or perhaps an entire carb. This would be for 1969 440 HP Automatic. Thanks.

To Un-Hot Rod A Car Or Not?

In the not-so far future I am going to be giving one of my cars to the kid of a prior owner. It has a 440/727 with Eddy Performer cam and intake, mildly worked 906's, Holley 750 vacuum secondary, hooker headers, and a 150 plate nitrous system. It's not a race car as it is heavy with 3.23. gears...

    Chrome In A Can?

Almost. In the past, these have all sucked and been nowhere near chrome, but I tried this one on whim and it's pretty decent. A good product for budget projects. I did some arm rest bases and at a glance most people I doubt will even notice.

WTB 69 Charger White Upper Door Pads - Driver or Better

If you are buying new pads, please consider selling me your fair-driver-or better used ones. I am converting my interior back to white as it originally came, so I need all four. Thanks.

    69 Charger Headrest Rebuild ?

Rather than emptying my bank account to buy some, I'd be satisfied with rebuilding my own. They are slightly yellowed a little, but the match the white seat color ok. To get the job done however, I have two hurdles I cannot seem to find answers to: 1. How does the chrome ring that goes over the...

69 Charger RT 440/727 - How Long Should Stock Sway Bar Links Be?

The ones on the car are 6" bolts. They are old, but not sure if original. Rebuild kit comes with 8" bolts and a +2 inch longer spacer, so the bar will hang 2 inches lower. I want the car to maintain stock appearance and the 8" bolts just don't look right to me. Can anyone tell me...

    Z Bar 71-74 B Interchange?

Hi gents - A short quiz. I have three of these things that need homes. Comparing, they are the same as the one in my 72 Big Block Charger. Any idea what other engines or bodies they will interchange with? I am guessing the same for small block and E body? Thanks.

440 AC to Non-AC - PS Pump Brackets Need to Be Changed?

An easy one.... Subject is a complete stock 69 440 with AC set up. I am putting the engine in a car without AC. I know I need to change the crank and water pump pulley and alternator brackets. Will the AC power steering pump bracket work or do I need to change that too? I have everything...

    Classic Industries on a Diet?

Just got my Catalog M224X and it is looking much leaner than the previous M222. It looks like every section has been trimmed down to fighting weight. I'm not sure if there is actually less stuff in it yet?

    How To Remove Mirror Glass?

Subject is a 71 B body chrome racing mirror, passenger side, non-remote: I want to take the glass out of the housing to give to a pal's son for the project car they are doing together. When I flex the mirror glass I can see two philips head screws in there, but they are unreachable with a...

    C eh, N eh, D eh.

A long early morning drive to the Mopar gathering, the rumble of a 440, a clear road ahead through the backroads, and an ominous red sun signaling the approaching wildfire smoke. It's a good day here, but wishing safety to our northern brothers.
