can anyone tell me if the pilot hole in the back of a big block crank varies from one year to another? I’m taking automatic only. I know the torque converters change spline count between 65 and 66 but don’t know about the other side of the torque converter, (the pilot side) Thanks for your replies.

I have a 69 Roadrunner that seems to have a problem going from 2nd to 3rd. It acts like it can’t make up its mind on which gear it wants to be in. It shudders for what seems like a second or two, then goes to 3rd. It doesn’t do it all the time, but probably 3 out of 5 times.
